Giclée Fine Art Printing

What is a Giclée print?
Giclée comes from the French word meaning literally ‘to squirt’, this refers to the process in which the ink is laid down on the paper. Giclée is the name commonly given to an inkjet limited edition reproduction of an artwork, photograph or digitally created work.

We print on archival grade artist’s quality coated paper or canvas, with pigment based HP Vivera inks offering a lifespan of up to 200 years, using seven or eight colour large format printers up to 1500mm wide using roll fed material up to 30m long.

Limited Edition Prints
The main advantage of this process is that you can order prints on demand, therefore cutting costs by only printing what you sell in the edition. You don’t have unsold prints to store, and you have the option to print at various sizes and on different media such as art paper, canvas or board. You are not committed to the long run lengths of offset printing.

What next?
You need to already have a digital image or photo of your original artwork to our specifications, from which we advise you order a proof for checking. If required you can then make any colour adjustments and order another proof to check them again, or order final size prints if you are happy.

We also offer small format digital print
Digital print refers to short runs of between 50 to 100’s or low 1,000s. Unlike traditional ‘offset litho’ print no plates are required, which saves time and costs making digital print ideal for artists and photographers wanting business cards, postcards, greetings cards, leaflets and economical short runs of print where the fade resistance and ultra high quality of Giclée are not required.

All prices shown are for printing your digital images. They do not include any design or artwork (such as adding text, titles etc) - but we would be happy to quote for these if required once we have discussed your requirements.
