Cypher build an OS map on top of a mountain for the Gadget Show on Channel Five

"The Gadget show's Jason, Suzi, Jon and Dallas head for the great outdoors to undertake their most extreme Wild Challenge yet. It is a chance for them to put the latest outdoor technology to the test. Two sets of walkie talkies are tested in terrible weather conditions".

Cypher were commissioned to produce a 3m x 1.5m OS map, on a plinth, with an added requirement that it could be walked on, and would need to withstand 'possibly' bad weather conditions. No one imagined that it would be quite so bad though. So much so that even though a team of three from Cypher managed to get the components to the top of the crag overlooking Honister Slate mine (using landrovers and finally hand carrying the parts), and then build the map on site (in typical Lakeland mountain horizontal rain), the director felt it was to bad to film. So we partly disassembled it and moved it to a more sheltered location by hand! Filming then took place and the results were shown in October 2008 on the show.

Cypher awarded Bronze Environmental Award by Cumbria Business Environment Network

We have recently been awarded the CBEN Bronze Environmental Award. To acheive this Cypher has demonstrated the following:

1. An awareness of the importance of major environmental issues involved in business operations.
2. A commitment to improved environmental performance through the development of an Environmental Management System (EMS).
3. An organisational structure for the management environmental issues.
4. The presence of an Environmental Policy.
5. Have carried out an Initial Review of all Environmental Aspects/Impacts associated with the organisation including the use of utilities and resources and the production of solid wastes, effluents and emissions.

Cypher Exhibitor Starter Packs for Google

The popularity of our popup starter pack spreads - we have recently completed a number 3x4 popup versions for Google in the UK.

These were allproduced in our usual speedy 4 working days for various Google events in the UK and across Europe. It almost goes without saying that they found out about our exhibitor starter pack via the internet - through Google!

New website for Western Lake District

We're pleased to announce the launch of a new look website for the Western Lake District Tourism Partnership.

The new site, designed to reflect the branding of their current promotional literature also designed by Cypher, will enable them to build their web presence and provide an informative site to visitors - we wish them well with its ongoing development.

Cypher clients the TVR Car Club win 'Best Large Club Website' at the prestigious Classic and Sportscar Magazine Awards 2007 at the NEC

The TVR Car Club website is designed, written, produced and hosted exclusively by Cypher. It includes: Various content managed areas allowing the TVRCC team to update the pages themselves, such as the news on the home page, individual TVR model areas, as well as future and past events sections. There are opinion polls, a very extensive discussion forum which has had almost 100,000 posts, classifed adverts which download to the club magazine monthly, a fully featured ecommerce system, a password protected members area linked to the club office so only current members have access and finally all the individual 40+ regions of the club all have their own websites. These are either hosted areas for them to load their own websites, or a custom written content managed system provided by Cypher which as well as allowing full editing and uploading/resizing of photos has live feeds from the main classifieds adverts and relevant regional discussion forum.

Out of the 10 awards presented, the TVR Car club won two, in what is believed to be the first time this has happened. The club was nominated for another four awards, including Best Exhibition Stand which Cypher also had a hand in, providing design display graphics, hire of display systems and on-stand coffee and tea facilities.

This is as sturdy as before and will still accept a printed graphic wrap, but more importantly comes with a neat folding wooden counter top to make a very useful desk.
